Crime Stoppers Brings Speaker to Secondary Students
Six area high schools took advantage of the opportunity to hear “Truth 4 Teens” speaker Rick Osborne during presentations at their schools during the week of November 11, 2008. Osborne told students about his life as a former gang member and the associated 23 years he spent in the prison system. Osborne was brought into the schools as part of Crime Stoppers 20th anniversary celebrations and told students about the importance of good life choices.
They were also given an opportunity to ask questions about Osborne’s experiences and related topics. Osborne spoke at McKinnon Park Secondary, Hagersville Secondary, Glendale High, Valley Heights Secondary, Port Dover Composite and Holy Trinity Catholic Secondary Schools.
