Crime Stoppers Targets Illegal Grow Operations
In an attempt to eradicate illegal indoor marijuana grow houses and the theft of hydro, Crime Stoppers of Haldimand, Norfolk and Tillsonburg has designed a flyer to inform the public about these illegal operations and their associated dangers. The flyers will be circulated through local hydro providers primarily in March and April, but also throughout the following months.
“Illegal marijuana grow houses pose a serious threat to neighborhoods and Crime Stoppers wants to remind people that they can report information anonymously and confidentially by calling
1-800-222-TIPS or by logging onto www.helpsolvecrime.com,” states Gord Little, chairperson for Crime Stoppers of Haldimand, Norfolk and Tillsonburg. He adds, “Crime Stoppers would also like to extend a huge thanks to all its partners in this initiative for helping to “turn the lights out” on indoor grow operations and make our communities safer.”
Crime Stoppers is also hoping that businesses in the area will be receptive to circulating these flyers to staff in employee pay cheques to help inform the general public about what to look for in their communities. Anyone interested in receiving flyers for circulation can contact Crime Stoppers by calling 519-426-3434 ext 4241.
