Crime Stoppers' Parade Float Design Contest
Crime Stoppers of Haldimand, Norfolk and Tillsonburg invites all secondary school students in the Haldimand, Norfolk and Tillsonburg area to come up with a design for a parade float that can be used by Crime Stoppers in community parades and displays.
“We want to tap into the abilities and creativity of the many excellent young people who go to school in this area and get students thinking about how to best represent Crime Stoppers in a float design,” says Ken Schaus, Contest Chairperson and Past Chairperson of Crime Stoppers of Haldimand, Norfolk and Tillsonburg. He adds, “Not only will this contest help celebrate the abilities of students, but it will also help increase public awareness as our program intends to use the resulting float at community parades and events.”
A cash award of $250 is being offered for the winning submission, or Crime Stoppers is willing to pay $750 if the chosen applicant wishes to also construct the float on behalf of the program. All applicants must be registered at a secondary school in Haldimand, Norfolk or Tillsonburg and follow contest guidelines.
