Crime Stoppers Tournament a Great Success
Crime Stoppers of Haldimand, Norfolk and Tillsonburg held its 18th annual charity golf tournament on August 20, 2009 at the Greens at Renton. The event was a huge success raising close to $14,000 because of the support and commitment of many individuals and area businesses.
Close to 140 golfers from came together for this year’s tournament and Crime Stoppers would like to thank the tournament’s major sponsors - Scotiabank; the Central Erie and Haldimand Insurance Brokers Associations; the Greens at Renton; North Waterloo Farmers Mutual Insurance and Paul Davis Systems. Now more than ever, this corporate support is vital and ensures that Crime Stoppers has a strong presence in our community in the fight against crime.
Many additional businesses and individuals also deserve a very big thanks for their support of the tournament through hole sponsors, registration package donors, prize donations, volunteering their time and for supporting the tournament through golfing that day. Each of these aspects is an important detail and helps ensure that the tournament remains top notch and is enjoyable for participants.
Again, thank you to all who made the day a huge success and worked hard to ensure that the Crime Stoppers program remains engrained in our communities making our neighborhoods safer for all!
