Crime Stoppers will not take tips from victims. If you are one, report directly to the nearest Police Department in your area, or, in the case of an emergency, or a crime in progress, please call 911.


  1. A crime is committed and you have information.
  2. Call 1-800-222-TIPS (8477), our toll-free tip line, any time day or night, or submit tip online at
  3. Your information will be taken in strict confidence. You never have to give your name.
  4. You will be given a confidential code number. Keep this number a secret.
  5. Crime Stoppers will then pass the “tip” on to the police.
  6. Be sure to call back to 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) for an update.
  7. If your information leads to an arrest or charge you will become eligible for a cash reward.
  8. Cash rewards are distributed through pre-arranged locations across the region for pickup after approval by the Crime Stoppers board of directors.
