Golfing Foooore Safer Communities

Pictured left to right are Randy Goudeseune, Central Erie Insurance Brokers Association; Jeff Schaus, Scotiabank; Gary Malpass, Crime Stoppers of Haldimand, Norfolk and Tillsonburg; and Dennis Howden, Haldimand Insurance Brokers Association at the 21st annual Central Erie and Haldimand Insurance Brokers Associations Crime Stoppers' Charity Golf Tournament which was held in August at Sundrim Golf Course and raised over $14,000.
Crime Stoppers of Haldimand, Norfolk and Tillsonburg held its 21st annual fundraising golf tournament on August 16, 2012 in an attempt to “drive” crime out of our community. This year’s tournament - held at Sundrim – brought together over 120 people from across the province and was deemed an awesome success raising over $14,000 for the crime fighting program.
Crime Stoppers would like to thank the tournament’s major sponsors – Scotiabank; Central Erie and Haldimand Insurance Brokers Associations; North Waterloo Farmer’s Mutual Insurance; Paul Davis Systems, Aviva Canada, Ad Plus Promotions, Salverda Enterprises and Hald-Nor Credit Union. Because of the support of these major sponsors, the day was an outstanding success.
Specialty hole and registration package sponsors were also very generous in their support of this year’s golf tournament. A big thanks goes out to all these supporters including Intact; Carstar Collision Pro; Sundrim Golf Course; Winegard Motors; Grand River Home Hardware; Burns, Demeyere & Associates; the IBAO; Culligan Water, Simcoe; Foodland, Waterford; Good Humor/Breyers; Lorraine McEvoy (Avon); Dominion; Picard Peanuts; Sobeys (Tillsonburg); Boiler Insurance; Norfolk Mutual Insurance Company; Deb Canada; Townsend Farmers Mutual Insurance; and the Greens at Renton.
Many businesses and individuals also deserve a very big thanks for their support of the tournament through hole sponsors, prize donations, volunteering their time and for supporting the tournament through golfing that day. Each of these aspects is an important detail and helps ensure that the tournament remains top notch and is enjoyable for all.
It takes many people, businesses, volunteer hours and donation dollars to make a day as memorable as the one experienced on the 16th of August. Now more than ever, Crime Stoppers would like to thank everyone who made the 21st anniversary tournament a huge success and worked hard to ensure that the Crime Stoppers program remains engrained in our communities making our neighborhoods safer for all!
