Crime Stoppers of Haldimand, Norfolk and Tillsonburg held its 18th annual fundraising golf tournament on August 21, 2009 in an attempt to “drive” crime out of our community. This year’s tournament - held at the Greens At Renton – brought together close to 140 people from across the province and was deemed a huge success raising close to $14,000 for the crime fighting program.
Crime Stoppers would like to thank the tournament’s major sponsors – Scotiabank; Central Erie and Haldimand Insurance Brokers Associations; The Economical Insurance Group; North Waterloo Farmer’s Mutual Insurance; Paul Davis Systems and the Greens At Renton. Because of the support of these sponsors, the day was an outstanding success.
Specialty hole and registration package sponsors were also very generous in their support of this year’s golf tournament. A big thanks goes out to all these supporters including the Greens at Renton; Blue Star Ford; Intact; ING; The Dorsey Group; Freedom 55 (Jim Petterson); Regional Auto Glass; Carstar Collision Pro; Sundrim Golf Course; Paulmac’s Pet Food; Haldimand Insurance Brokers and Burns, Demeyere & Associates; Paul Davis Systems; Enterprise Rent-A-Car; AXA; Dominion; Picard Peanuts; Culligan Water; Breyers / Good Humor; Townsend Farmer’s Mutual Insurance; VanLoon Eggs; McFarlan Rowlands Insurance Brokers; CD 98.9 fm; Front Nine; Foodland and Lorraine McEvoy (Avon).
Many businesses and individuals also deserve a very big thanks for their support of the tournament through hole sponsors, prize donations, volunteering their time and for supporting the tournament through golfing that day. Each of these aspects is an important detail and helps ensure that the tournament remains top notch and is enjoyable for all.
It takes many people, businesses, volunteer hours and donation dollars to make a day as memorable as the one experienced on the 20th of August. Now more than ever, Crime Stoppers would like to thank everyone who made the day a huge success and worked hard to ensure that the Crime Stoppers program remains engrained in our communities making our neighborhoods safer for all!
